Way back before Cisa Studio LLC, there was the In Style Artists or "ISA". A young group of artists brought up from neighboring parts of East Chicago Harbor, Indiana. In 1983, during the "golden age" of Hip Hop, these artists helped pioneer the way for graffiti art in the Midwest region and soon after would gain the recognition and fame of becoming a reputable graffiti crew by the media, the Chicagoland area, high-profile commissions and most of all; their peers. Soon these peers would also begin their claim as part of the ISA crew movement by tagging the crew’s name everywhere. Before you knew it, everyone in East Chicago was down with ISA!

Not to be outdone, in 1987, the group decided to raise the bar by adopting the word "crazy" to the rapidly exploited crew name in order to separate the real writers from the ones who were just claiming to be in the crew. As the years carried on many of those "writers" challenged by the stake, would soon fade by the wayside leaving the group to endure and overcome 3 generations of Hip Hop and becoming the elite crew to which this day still remains as the crew respectfully known as, Crazy In Style Artists or "CISA" (pronounced; Kee`-sa in case you were wondering).
